Group members' information behavior
The Ph.D.-project addressed group members' information behavior in context. Based on two longitudinal case studies it was explored to what extent group members differ from the individual information seeker in Carol Kuhlthau's ISP-model, and how personal, social and contextual factors may affect the individual group member's information behavior. A relation between 'I-modes' and 'We-modes' in task based problem solving and the influence from the group process on information behavior were identified. The project has contributed with a new understanding of individual group members' information behavior in context.
