Has done research in the fields of cultural theory, cultural policy and public libraries as well as investigations carried out for the Danish Ministry of Education and for the Danish Ministry of Culture.

Co-author of the book: Kulturcenterundersøgelsen 3 (School as a Local Cultural Center), 1991 which contains an analysis and an evaluation of a development programme for the schools as cultural centres.

Co-author of the book: Kulturbilleder fra Helsingør (A Cultural Portrait of Helsingoer), 1993, which contains a survey and an analysis of the local cultural life and the local cultural policy of the municipal of Helsingoer.

Co-author of the book: Gør biblioteket en forskel? (Does the library makes a difference?), 2000, which elucidate attitudes about the library which affect both users and non-users of public libraries, and the significance of the public libraries in the lives of various type of users.
