This BA examines user behavior and news sharing on Facebook by analyzing
the results of an online survey with 205 respondents and an additional
individual e-mail conducted interview with 13 different people. It identifies 3
unique filters (the professional media filter, the self curated filter & the network
filter) that influence how people interact with and perceive their network and
news feeds. Finally it discusses these implications on communication in
Facebook communities and how they might influence the (online) public
