A paradigm shift has taken place in the museums, where new technologies and communication methods has become available.
We want to explore to which extent the Danish ‘Post og Tele Museum’ takes advantage of these new methods and technologies. We believe that they need to do this, because they are a small museum who needs to put in a bigger effort to gain a lead in the competition with other larger museums.
We have found that they, to some extent use new technologies, social media and strategic communication. However the museum does not take full advantage of these methods potentials.
We discovered that the museum is in fact not small, since they are on the top 10 most visited museums in Denmark, and therefore it is not crucial for the museum to implement new methods.
