Of central importance are the data science skills and competences of librarians in Danish research libraries. Other areas of discussion reached within the thesis are technological advancements in relation to library roles, data librarianship as a profession, the instructional roles of librarians within university libraries and the three roles of data librarianship.
The thesis offers an exploration of Danish data librarians’ skills and competencies; it also creates a discussion around the experiences and insights of a data scientist and an information professional in relation to data science applications within Danish research libraries.
